  • IBC to Include New Smart Media Technologies in its 2017 Papers Call

    IBC is delighted to announce that submissions for its prestigious Technical Papers and Posters have now opened. The technical papers will form the framework of new and exciting topics for the IBC2017 Conference and this year, in response to changes in the industry, the session producers are broadening the categories of submission to include smart technologies which support and process user-produced media and data.

  • Artificial Intelligence is a staple trope of film and TV plots from classics such as Bladerunner to recent Channel 4 series Humans, but AI is also emerging as a serious content creation tool.
  • Each year the IET bestows the IET Journal Young Professional Award to the best IBC Technical Paper submitted by an author aged under 35. 

    IBC interviews this year's winner, Lucien Lenzen from RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Germany, who received the award for his paper 'HDR for Legacy Displays Using Sectional Tone Mapping'.
