Paper Session: Solutions for Implementing Personalised Advertising
Dynamic ad insertion is a vital source of revenue for service operators, especially in these days of OTT-streamed video. The control of ads has, however, become sophisticated as decision systems and complex signalling allow them to be personalised and delivered to any device. Crucial to this is the integration and interoperability between video and ad servers.
This session, new in 2016, aims to be informative and interesting, discussing the pros and cons of the standards involved, methods for personalisation, the threat from ad blockers and the advantages of solutions based on DASH and VAST.
