Memnon, your partner in digitalising, archiving and enhancing your audiovisual heritage.
From sound archives (discs, magnetic tapes, audio cassettes, DAT…) to video archives (Umatic, VHS, Betacam SP, DV …), via film (16mm,35mm …), Memnon can handle most of the audiovisual formats and media contained in both public and private institutions and broadcasters'collections.
Memnon has also become specialised in the migration and long-term storage of the digital data contained in optical formats like audio CDs or CD-Rs.
Moreover, Memnon has developed an inventive solution, the IPI©-Manager, which combines automated pre-indexation tools (speech to text, speaker changes, music to speech, …), highly ergonomical media files indexation and allowing easy interoperability with DAM/MAM and broadcast or dissemination systems.
Memnon has established a unique competence as a service provider in the field of audiovisual archives and plays an active role in international associations (IASA, IFTA) leading reflections on the archiving of audiovisual heritage.
Today, Memnon is involved in digitalising over 800,000 hours of audiovisual archives for clients including prestigious cultural institutions and broadcasters as Danish Radio, British Library, Radio Suisse Romande, Collège de France, Bibliothèque Nationale de France, Centre National Audiovisuel, Musée Ethnologique de Genève, Bournemouth University, Historical Archives of the European Union …
