Company profile
Founded in 1998, Marquis has optimized file-based workflows for countless broadcast production facilities. Uniquely qualified in moving content and metadata into and out of Avid edit systems, Marquis has improved media workflows for companies worldwide, including the BBC, Discovery, Ascent Media, PBS, Technicolor Network Services and Turner Broadcasting.

Marquis was established by Granby Patrick, Founder and Technology Director, as a result of his belief that it was the interaction between people and not technology that effected the successful implementation of new technologies. Marquis is committed to interoperability through helping customers achieve maximum efficiencies from their digital processes through its range of media and metadata interoperability products and professional services.

Marquis Broadcast products enable production facilities to stay file-based throughout their workflows. Metadata can be captured and interchanged between shared edit, media asset management, automation and archive systems.

Marquis Broadcast’s Media Highway products allow facilities to implement efficient best-of-breed systems by enabling tight media and metadata integration between platforms from; Apple, Avid, Blue Order, Dalet, EVS, Grass Valley, Harris, Isilon, IPV, Omneon, Quantum, S4M, SeaChange and TMD.

Description
Edit sequence archiver for Avid sequences and Final Cut Pro timelines

Parking, allows editors to easily archive and retrieve entire edit sequences. Parking keeps essence and edit decisions together so that the edit can be resumed or repurposed easily at any time in the future. Editors easily modify edits and re-composite new graphics using the original edit sequence rather than having to cut into previously aired material. Parking frees up valuable edit storage and allows users to more easily manage both work in progress as well as finished programs.
