The EBU serves 85 national media organizations in 56 countries in and around Europe. It represents its Members and promotes the values and distinctiveness of public service media in Europe and around the world. EBU TECHNICAL is the Technology & Development Department of the EBU, acting as a reference on media technology and innovation for the membership. EBU TECHNICAL provides guidance and advice on technological developments, contributes to standardization efforts, coordinates lobbying activities in key international bodies, and facilitates the sharing of experiences and research via a range of publications and events.
