IBC2009: IN REVIEW

IBC2009 embraced the latest in stereo 3D, high definition TV, over-the-top, on-demand and user-generated content, playing host to more than 1,300 exhibitors and in excess of 45,000 attendees from 140 countries globally. The conference placed more than 300 high-profile international speakers among 60 thought-provoking sessions ... more here.

IBC2009: It's a wrap!

Against the challenging economic and industry backdrop, IBC2009 saw 45,547 actual attendees; only 7% down on 2008. The show continues to exhibit a positive image for the future of the electronic media and broadcast technology industry.

Michael Crimp, IBC CEO said: "IBC is about the quality of the exhibition and the conference. We're not just a trade show, but an event where people can see the results of all the hard work in our industry. We call this the IBC content experience."

Dieter Engel, senior vice president, Deutsche Telekom said: "IBC is the most important show for me - more important than CES or NAB. This year it has been even more relevant than last year. All the vendors who are important to me are here."

Attendees at this year's IBC Awards Ceremony were also treated to a 16-minute 3D extract of James Cameron’s new movie Avatar - watch the trailer now.
