The IBC2009 Mobile Guide put information about this year's show into the palm of your hand. The guide included a full exhibitor list with stand locations, maps of the halls, the conference programme, news, opening times and getting around the show – even how to get around the city of Amsterdam.
The guide could be accessed in two ways:
Java enabled phones (most Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Motorola models) downloaded the full guide to the handset by, in the mobile’s browser, visiting www.ibc2009.mobi and following the on-screen prompts to install and open the application. Updates were available during the show from bluetooth hotspots situated at the IBC information booths.
Other phones, smartphones and wireless PDAs (Windows mobile, Palm, Apple IPhones, or BlackBerry) could view the guide through the mobile browser via this link: www.ibc.org/mobile.
Note: The IBC2009 Mobile Guide was free to use, however, you may have incurred charges from your cellular network or wi-fi service provider to download or access the guide. The installation of the show guide to a mobile device was done entirely at the user's risk.
