Use, Rate and Compare Aquisition Technology in Action

IBC2011 attendees had a unique chance to get to grips with the very latest in acquisition technology from stereoscopic 3D and DSLRs to specialist broadcast cameras at the IBC Production Village in Hall 11.

Centred around a fully-equipped and professional standard studio set you could find a host of exciting camera technology expressly arranged so that you could use, rate and compare cameras side by side. Plus the Christie cube wall which showed the IBC TV News.

Attendees could get away from the marketing hype associated with products in isolation and ask frank questions of expert technicians who were ready to answer all queries. There was also a special theatre nearby where attendees could hear case study presentations and network with peers in an open exchange of knowledge.

This was a chance to put manufacturer claims to the test.

  • engage with cream of the crop - in our state of the art, professional standard studio set up. New products from Nikon, Pure4C, For-A, Vitec Group, Vision Research were featured along with all their accessories. It was an opportunity to get your hands-on the kit and make your own mind up.


  • Inside Knowledge - was your chance to see cameras and equipment demonstrated by the exhibitors themselves in the IBC Production Village and throughout the show through a special theatre adjacent to the studio set. There you could gain valuable insight and learn from informative case studies and presentations by Cinegy, Tiger Technologies, EVS, Forbidden Technology, Vidigo and others. Attendees got the inside track on the equipment that matters to them.


  • custom-built environment – the studio set at The IBC Production Village was in working daily use as an interview space and production base for the IBC TV News, IBC’s own television station. This added attraction provided a real insight into production technology, workflow and post-production techniques. IBC TV News broadcasted daily on air and online from the show floor making it the place to be for all those in content creation. Plus in 2011, we also had a special Christie cube wall showing the IBC TV News.
