Plus there were free 2K, 4K and stereoscopic 3D demonstrations at the impressive IBC Big Screen and a personal invite to celebrate the IBC Awards, a gala event that encapsulates all that is positive and forward thinking about our industry.

Attendees mixed with over 50,000 of the industry’s finest minds and wisest investors to debate, to train, to gain insight, to network and to lead.

The IBC Connected World

In 2011, the IBC Connected World brought together the companies, technologies and leaders shaping the business of 'content everywhere' under one roof in Hall 13 and provided IBC attendees with the chance to view the multitude of exciting opportunities being created for the electronic media industry by IP, broadband and mobile distribution. Features in the IBC Connected World included the Exhibition Business Briefings and Demonstration Area.

IBC Big Screen & D-cinema

One of IBC’s unique features was the IBC Big Screen and D-cinema, a state-of-the-art cinema theatre seating over 1,700 people set up in the RAI Auditorium at the heart of the show. Featuring leading edge projection and audio systems, it enabled you to experience the very latest in cinema technology and techniques, and over the years has staged cutting edge screenings that have introduced new technologies, such as digital and stereoscopic 3D projection, to a wide audience often for the first time.

Future Zone and New Technology Campus

Featuring R&D from around the world the Future Zone included the latest in Super Hi-Vision from NHK and encompassed the New Technology Campus with the best ideas, concepts and prototypes.  The NTC is a window into the future of the industry, where you can experience the technologies that are still on the horizon. Chosen by the influential Technical Papers Committee, its exhibitors are sourced from research institutions and developers worldwide.
