In addition to these sessions, IBC also hosted the leading broadcast and media conference.

"It's completely full and a positive show. I've made good contacts and done lots of networking." Peter Van Der Spek.

Business Briefings

Now in their fourth year, the IBC Exhibition Business Briefings provided a unique opportunity for visitors to learn about the latest developments and business opportunities in digital signage, IPTV and mobile.

At these popular free-admission sessions, leading exhibitors shared their insights into the impact that new distribution technologies are having on the content creation, management and delivery experience.

Participants included Open IPTV Forum and Oracle.  A detailed schedule of the 2009 Business Briefings and other value-added sessions is shown below.

What Caught My Eye

With as many as 1,300 exhibiting companies on the show floor in 2009, it could be a challenge to identify the 'must see' exhibits if you were new to IBC or a technology area, or perhaps if your time at the exhibition was limited.

This is where the ever-popular What Caught My Eye strand helped visitors to make the most of their IBC experience. Industry experts in key areas tracked down the hottest new products and developments in their fields, then reported back in a short but enlightening free session. The reporters were chosen for their lively style as well as their in-depth knowledge, so delegates received detailed information and a complete lack of baffling technical jargon.
