“IBC is the most important media technology meeting in the world. In particular, it brings together the finest minds in engineering. There are a lot of elements to think about before 3D becomes the universal panacea that many believe it can be. Not least, who’s going to pay for it? So there needs to be an aggressive period of experimentation, where the finest minds in engineering can have the proper amount of time they need to really test the technology. Following my discussion at the IBC conference, I want attendees, and specifically the engineers, to go away and ponder the possibilities.” David Hill, Chairman and CEO at Fox Sports Television Group.
