    Georg holds a Dipl.-Ing. in Telematics from the University of Technology in Graz. Since 1992 he works with JOANNEUM RESEARCH, Institute of Information Systems. As the leader of the Digital Media Group he is responsible for the implementation of innovative solutions in the areas of film-restoration, content based analysis and retrieval of audiovisual media, media monitoring and security. He has successfully managed numerous national and international projects in the field (e.g. DIAMANT, DETECT, restoration work area of PrestoSpace) and is responsible for the coordination of big international projects (e.g. SALERO).
