Post Production Training

Post Production Professional Training

The training zone in Hall 7 was run by a professional training company offering a structured programme on the latest editing software. Using the latest Apple and Adobe software - including a brand-new version of Final Cut Pro Suite - on new generation 34 inch iMacs, part of the hall was dedicated to providing you with the opportunity to experience the latest in desktop post production tools.

With expert training staff on-hand to walk visitors through the details, attendees were able to apply the ideas gained in the Production Village to Apple Final Cut Studio, Apple Motion, Apple Color and the Adobe Production suite. Visitors learnt how to work in real-time with behaviours and key-frames; grade shots using the primary, secondary, colour-fx and geometry rooms; and use edits, transitions, titles, and s-fx to complete an edit from start to finish. And discovered how to build 3D titles for post production with nurbs, splines and deformers, via Maxon Cinema 4D.

Q&A sessions also gave visitors the chance to ask a question about any of the applications used.

Post Production Exhibitor Presentations

Part of the training in Hall 7 was run by Exhibitors who offered a structured programme of presentations on the latest products, best practices and techniques for getting the best from the post production tools.

Expert staff from the companies were on-hand to talk vistors through the details of their latest innovative products, services and how they could be applied day to day. Attendees were able to go away from IBC and apply the ideas and knowledge gained in the Production Village to their own businesses at home. In these sessions visitors learnt how to easily achieve professional looking live TV for an iPhone audience, the impact of and techniques for pre-processing prior to compression and discovered all about the misconceptions relating to encoding and live streaming.
