Lesley Marr

Lesley Marr is an independent broadcast media specialist and expert in broadcast operations, post production and production. Lesley has worked in the broadcast media industry for 20 years and has recently founded Fast Tortoise a specialist consultancy.
Prior to running her own consultancy business Lesley was most recently employed at BSKYB as a Programme Director, leading Sky's high profile delivery and change programme -Tapeless.
Lesley began her career as a graphics/production assistant from there she moved into production and post-production, progressing from producing to designing and finally editing and effects.
In the early 90s Lesley spent four years with Quantel and became one of the first Henry and Editbox operator/trainers in the world. In 1995 She was a founder member of Locomotion - a commercial and effects post production facility in Soho. Lesley established a second facility in Germany and in 1999 she became group commercial and strategic director for Storyboards, a pan-European design, illustration and commercials agency, incorporating Locomotion as part of the group.
In 2002, Lesley moved into broadcasting and joined CTV (now Technicolor Network Services) to launch the file-based, multi-language Disney Scandinavian channel and went on to launch a total of 12 channels. Until 2005 Lesley was Head of Operations at TNS when she joined the Technicolor global division in a new business strategy role. Lesley moved to BSKYB in 2006 as Head of Production Services leading a core broadcast operational department of over 200 staff preparing Sky's SD and HD content for transmission.
