Nick Lodge
Dr Nick Lodge has spent his professional career leading the research and development of cutting-edge television and advanced media technologies. In this time he has led many collaborative European technology initiatives, contributed to a large number of European broadcast systems and DVB standards, and has also championed several assistive technologies for sensory-impaired media users.
Throughout the 1990’s Nick was responsible for a major programme of strategic R&D and international standardisation which supported all the UK’s commercial television companies. From 2002 to 2008 he was Chief Executive of ProVision Communications, a high technology wireless media company based in Bristol, UK. More recently, he has been consulting in media technology and management.
Nick has a PhD in digital television and an MBA in which he specialised in the creation and commercial exploitation of innovative technology. He is a Fellow of the IET, the Royal Television Society and the Broadcast Engineering Society of India.
