Andrew Fisher, CEO, Shazam Entertainment

Andrew Fisher Andrew was appointed CEO of Shazam in March 2005.  He has been responsible for determining the company’s strategic focus and led the execution of this in more than 200 countries worldwide.  Today the company has more than 200 million mobile users and every week more than one million new users join the service.  

Prior to Shazam, Andrew founded and was Managing Director of TDLI.com which was acquired by InfoSpace Inc with an enterprise value of $400m.  Andrew then became European Managing Director of InfoSpace Inc where he led the company's European growth focusing on content syndication, search and wireless value added services.  Before joining InfoSpace Andrew was General Manager of Thomson Directories Business Ventures and was part of the team that successfully completed a management buyout and subsequent sale of the business.

In October 2009 Andrew attracted investment for Shazam from Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers.  KPCB have backed Google, Amazon, Sun, Intel, Electronic Arts and many other leading global businesses.  KPCB’s investment in Shazam is their first ICT investment in Europe.  In 2011, Andrew raised further funding from KPCB, Institutional Venture Partners, and DN Capital to support the company’s continued growth and expansion into television.
