IBC opens exhibitor donation room
IBC has partnered with the RAI to enable exhibitors to donate items to various social initiatives in the local region.
Exhibitors are asked to contribute any materials, from office chairs to pens and TVs that might otherwise be thrown away after the show.
Items can be donated up to two hours before breakdown of the exhibition and throughout the time stands are being emptied. Please bring them to the Exhibitor Services desks at Entrance C and Entrance K.
All donated items will be assessed at the desk and tested with the needs of the relevant social initiatives in mind.
Donations categories include: food, furniture, floral, electrics, decorations, Dutch-language magazines, bags, office supplies and hobby material.
Local social initiatives include The Food Bank, Humanitas, Salvation Army Bij Bosshardt Amsterdam Noord, Vivium Torendael, Cordaan, ROC Amsterdam and Pure South. Any materials that cannot be accepted will be recycled in line with the RAI’s zero waste policy.
IBC Content Everywhere in Hall 14 combines a dedicated exhibition of more than 150 exhibitors ranging from start-ups to the biggest names in technology including Google and Facebook.
The features have been designed to help visitors quickly and efficiently expand their knowledge and understanding of the latest trends, strategies and developments in online TV and video.
At the heart of the hall is the CE Hub designed to helps visitors make the most of their time at the show through an extensive and varied programme of presentations, demonstrations and panel sessions that explore the ‘content everywhere’ opportunity.
At 12:00 – 12:20, Live Video - On Demand! will look at how to provision high quality, live video streaming to multiple devices and use of cloud computing more dynamically.
Streaming live events: when it MUST be “all right on the night” at 13:00 – 13:45 will see experts will discuss how to deliver the optimum live sports experience and share insights and knowledge gained from hand-on experience of live streaming some of the biggest sporting events to fans worldwide.
The day will conclude with The potential of AR for the future of sports at 17:00 – 17:20. This session will discuss the potential of AR for sports, as well as detailing the recent tennis project.
