Olaf Kroll, EVP Business Development Global, Magine

Magine delivers entertaining video content to audiences across the world. It is a global service for streaming platforms and OTT solutions that began operations in Sweden in 2012.

What do you think are the key developments in, or threats to, your market sector at the current time?

The growth in online video consumption has driven the demand for cloud and live streaming technology. As a result, we’re now seeing two multiscreen operation models develop, the first being where operators are building OTT services in-house and the second, outsourcing to an OVP. For businesses big and small that want to go to market quickly with low risk and upfront cost, outsourcing is the way to go. It also enables them to focus on content and customers, which is key to running a successful OTT service.

Why should delegates visit your stand at IBC?

Magine enables partners operating globally to build thriving OTT businesses with live TV and Video-On-Demand platforms. We offer scalable, individual out-of-the-box models to infrastructure operators, platform operators and content providers – from the technical platform to fully managed end-to-end OTT solutions. We will be showcasing some of our latest products at our stand 14.N20 and look forward to welcoming those interested in finding out more.
