Artificial intelligence (AI), interoperable master format (IMF) and IP dominate the exhibition, particularly across the smaller booths.

“We have heard backroom discussions on what other people are planning over the next few years that are really interesting,” Quested said.

This year the ITU is looking at AI and how to apply it to international standards.

Quested said: “I want to apply machine learning (ML) and AI to quality control, where we can start to look at generating a quality of experience measurement that we have never been able to do before with accuracy and repeatability.”
