Kevin McCue, Director of Group Production Platforms, Sky Europe

Kevin has been leading production technical operations within Sky UK for the past six years across outside broadcast, studio and post production technology responsible for live sports, live studio production and Sky Sports News.

In 2020, as a result of the UK lockdown, Kevin and the team had to pivot their technology strategy to support cloud-based, and distributed, production both for live and post-produced content. This summer, they delivered the return of live sport where they broadcast 100 live football events in 40 days, the majority being remotely produced from Sky’s UK production hub. Throughout 2020 and 2021, Sky have also accelerated their remote production strategy for their football, golf and cricket coverage.

Recently, Kevin assumed group engineering leadership responsibility for Sky’s production technology platforms, leading a global engineering team responsible for the design, installation, support and development of production technology platforms across live sports, news and entertainment.
