The IBC Connected World – Hall 13
As internet connected devices penetrate the market at explosive pace, consumers are beginning to find, interact with and even create media in radically different ways. Smart phones, games consoles, netbooks, connected TVs and tablets are making content available on-demand and with an unprecedented degree of personalisation. As content goes cross device, broadcasters and producers need to examine the changes in consumer behaviour in order to adapt their business models and keep in touch.
In 2011, the IBC Connected World brought together the companies, technologies and leaders shaping the business of 'content everywhere' under one roof in Hall 13 and provided IBC attendees with the chance to view the multitude of exciting opportunities being created for the electronic media industry by IP, broadband and mobile distribution.
Demonstration Area
The IBC Connected World in Hall 13 brought together the worlds of broadcasting, internet and telecoms. The whole area was packed with the latest gadgets, gizmos and smart devices from companies at the very forefront of developments for this technology convergence, and once again, IBC arranged for a special Demonstration Area to be constructed so that every day attendees could see a continuous schedule of short demonstrations of the very latest innovations. Each day was themed by topic:

Exhibition Business Briefings
A topical highlight of the show experience was a series of free Exhibition Business Briefings specially formulated to help you understand and dissect the implications and possibilities of the IBC Connected World. With these sessions, attendees learnt from the experiences of companies such as Cisco, Ericsson, IBM & TV Genius that are already building businesses at the intersection of broadcast and broadband.
