Your Trip
The Amsterdam RAI in the Netherlands, located in the heart of Northern Europe, has been home to IBC for almost 20 years. The reasons are many: Amsterdam boasts excellent transport links, fantastic culture, and superb nightlife. In combination with the RAI, one of Europe’s leading exhibition and convention venues, it all makes for the perfect venue for IBC.

About Amsterdam
Amsterdam, once the heart of Holland’s far reaching global empire, has been at the centre of European trade for centuries, and is as easy to get to by air as it is by road, rail and sea. Historic and beautiful, its compact centre combines an excellent range of hotels and restaurants with extraordinary cultural depth and some of Northern Europe’s leading nightlife. IBC has worked with the City of Amsterdam for nearly two decades now, helping ensure that the IBC experience, both in and away from the show, is not to be missed.

Accommodation and Travel
The RAI Hotel & Travel Service can help you in planning your journey to Amsterdam. Whether it be booking a hotel in or around the city at the very best rates, booking flights into and out of Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, car hire, bike hire – this is Amsterdam after all – airport transfers, excursions, restaurant tables or anything else, it is an invaluable service for all your travel requirements. And the advice, as always, is to book sooner rather than later to avoid missing out.

Getting Around
Amsterdam has one of the best public transport systems in Europe. As an IBC attendee you get to ride it for free. There is a comprehensive tram, bus and metro system, enabling you to get anywhere in the city quickly and easily. There is also a fleet of shuttle buses from the major hotels to take you directly to the RAI. Please click here for more information and to view the timetable.

The RAI is one of the few exhibition centres in Europe large enough to accommodate IBC. More than 1,300 exhibitors cover its thirteen halls, while at its heart it features a 1,700-seat auditorium equipped as a state-of-the-art cinema theatre. It hosts numerous restaurants, cafes and bars, a range of meeting rooms of all sizes, and is also ideally situated next door to its own rail station for maximum connectivity.
