With capacity for 1,700 people, the IBC Big Screen at IBC2014 was equipped with the very latest cutting-edge cinema technology including Christie 6P 2D and 3D laser projection and Dolby Atmos immersive audio and hosted a series of free to attend, editorially led sessions and complimentary world-first exclusive movie screenings.

The IBC2014 Big Screen Experience was the ultimate showcase that demonstrated how the disciplines between cinema and traditional broadcast are merging. The programme was free for all that attend IBC2014 and explored the latest developments and technologies to help inform attendees on how they can integrate cinema into their business strategies. From technologists, to CEOs, content creators to broadcasters, the IBC Big Screen Experience was an essential feature of IBC2014 that definitely impressed.

We hope you were one of the lucky delegates that attended the IBC Big Screen Experience and had the opportunity to view first-hand the screenings Life Of Pi & Dawn of the Planet of the Apes - EXCLUSIVELY in 14 fL 3D Christie 6P Laser Projection and Dolby Atmos.
This was the first time any audience in the world experienced a full-length feature film in full brightness 3D laser projection together with the immersive audio of Dolby Atmos, courtesy of Christie, Dolby Labs, QSC and 20th Century Fox.
