Abstract
Current extended reality (XR) video images do not provide sufficient immersion, hindering the expansion of XR services. Therefore, we investigated the development of a high-resolution 360-degree video system that provides an unprecedented immersive media experience. This paper describes an experimental system in accordance with Recommendation ITU-R BT.2123, which defines the video parameter values for advanced immersive audio-visual systems, including a 360-degree video camera with a 30 K horizontal resolution and a hemispherical display with a 15 K projector encompassing a 180-degree forward field-of-view.
