LTN has announced expanded capabilities for its live event master control offering, which it says provides sports broadcasters, leagues, rights holders, and content owners with a more flexible and scalable approach to managing live event distribution.
Built on the LTN Network, the offering combines low-latency IP transport, cloud-native playout, automation, scheduling, monitoring, graphics, and optional operator-assisted services for live sports and events into a unified platform designed specifically for the operational demands of live sports and events.
Rick Young, Senior Vice President (SVP) of Global Products at LTN, said: "Live sports workflows are evolving rapidly as everyone is looking for more agile ways to operate. Organisations need the flexibility to choose the operating model that works best for them, whether LTN provides a team of professional operators, self-service software-based tools, or a hybrid approach. LTN brings together the network, automation, monitoring, and operational expertise needed to support live event distribution at scale."
LTN emphasised that its platform enables customers to leverage LTN-hosted workflows running across the company’s purpose-built global IP video network.

JustWatch to launch own streaming service
