Quickplay has announced the launch of its Engagement Quality Score (EQS) intelligence layer, which it says assigns a real-time, quantifiable value score to every asset and moment.
Quickplay says its analysis reveals that roughly 42% of catalogue content includes “hidden gems” that are currently under-utilised and that platform promotional power is often wasted on the roughly 15% of content that underperforms, inadvertently driving user churn.
The company claims that the EQS enables streaming platforms and media companies to unlock greater engagement and additional revenue from their existing catalogues by helping content owners better understand the specific value of content within their catalogue, and what is driving or not driving engagement.
It enables hyper-personalised curation by using content scores to directly inform smart personalisation and row and rail placements, Quickplay added.
Paul Pastor, Co-Founder, Chief Business Officer, Quickplay, said: “EQS is the next evolution of personalisation. It’s not just about recommending adjacent content anymore. It’s about identifying what actually drives engagement, retention, and churn reduction. That’s smart personalisation. It gives operators a clear answer on what content to put where and why, turning signals that were already sitting in their catalogue into measurable gains in engagement, retention, and revenue.”
