Ikegami has introduced a 4K Media-over-IP gateway for its UHK-430 UHD studio camera.

It slots directly into the camera’s CCU, and allows UHD video with additional signals (intercom, return-video) to be exchanged between the CCU-430 and a local IP network hub along a lightweight optical fibre rather than multiple SDI cables.

Uncompressed video can be transmitted via an integral optical interface using either one 25GbE or two 10GbE SFP modules.

Redundancy can be implemented easily for extra reliability using additional SFP modules. The MoIP interface can be combined with an HD output option to deliver 2160p, 1080p and 1080i over IP and/or SDI simultaneously. For easy workflow transition, two 12G-SDI ports are included.

Ikegami’s UHK-430 is UHD camera with simultaneous HDR/SDR processing. Its three 2/3in CMOS sensors provide full 3840x2160 resolution plus the depth of field needed for studio and OB production. The camera has a B4 bayonet mount compatible with 2/3in lenses.
