Ralph Cochrane

The Expert

Dan Hodges started his career managing the Procter & Gamble media business before moving to Discovery Communications. During his time there, Dan launched the company’s digital business, worked with Jay Chiat to develop the first interactive TV ad experience, and assisted founder and CEO John Hendricks in launching Discovery’s on-demand service.

Dan has also worked as consultant, helping forward-looking businesses transition into the digital marketplace. In 2006 he joined Enpocket, which at the time enjoyed a 47% share of the US mobile advertising market. When Nokia acquired the company a year later, Dan was chosen to lead the largest mobile advertising sales force in the world, and he spend the next decade reimagining the world of mobile advertising.

Currently, Dan runs (CIMTours.co), a global strategic advisory firm that helps business leaders anticipate the future and innovate accordingly. He is also the founder and CEO of Retail Store Tours, which creates business and consumer programmes for attendees at industry conferences and other themed events. Most recently, Retail Store Tours has been selected to provide the store tour program at The NRF 2020: Retail’s Big Show.

Dan is a guest lecturer at the NYU Stern MBA Program, LIM College, Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).

Earlier this summer, Manfred Reitmeier became Vice President Transmitter and Amplifier Systems at Rohde & Schwarz. Spanning 30 years, his career within the company has encapsulated many quantum progressions in terrestrial transmission technology and business practices: Reitmeier has honed his exceptional team leadership capabilities throughout this period, first building a team of gifted and talented technologists and product designers and then creating visionary product roadmaps. Manfred Reitmeier joined Rohde & Schwarz as a development engineer in 1989. He enjoyed much success in his previous positions as Director of R&D Software, Senior Director of R&D Transmitter Systems and Senior Director of Product Management Transmitter Systems. He has over 20 years' management experience in the field of terrestrial transmitter systems.

Michelle Munson, Eluvio

Michelle Munson is the co-founder and CEO of Eluvio, a software company based in Berkeley, CA pioneering new technologies for a content-centric Internet. Eluvio's Content Fabric is an open, high performance software network for management and distribution of large form content (video) in ways never before possible, realizing quality, efficiency, provability, personalization and monetization. Michelle previously founded Aspera in 2004 and led the company as CEO until May 2017, including through acquisition by IBM in 2014. She created the Aspera FASP™ transport technology, an Emmy-award winning technology used in the digital media supply chain for high-speed low cost secure digital content transport, replacing satellite and traditional tape based delivery technologies.

Christopher Dean, Vlocity

Christopher S. Dean or "CD" is VP and GM of Vlocity’s Media & Entertainment Industry Cloud efforts, setting strategy and managing operations for solutions that help media companies accelerate growth, agility and differentiation through industry-specific cloud and mobile software. CD has spent decades developing and launching products that help customers create new distribution channels and grow revenue. As CEO of Swrve, CD transformed a mobile gaming business into a world leader in enterprise mobile marketing automation for finance, entertainment, travel, telecommunications, and ecommerce verticals. CD holds a Master of Business Administration from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Vassar College. His overarching business and management philosophy: Look after the customer and everything else falls into place.

Ronen Artman, LiveU

With 30 years’ experience in the broadcast field, Ronen Artman serves as Vice President of Marketing at LiveU, the pioneer and leader in IP-based live video services and broadcast solutions for global broadcasters, news agencies and sports organizations. Previously, Ronen held senior producer positions in sport programming for the SportsChannel, Prime Ticket Network, the NBA and International Olympic Committee (IOC). He also served as General Manager of a post-production studio for film and television in Hollywood, CA.

Antonio Arcidiacono, EBU

Antonio is Director of Technology & Innovation at the European Broadcasting Union. He has extensive experience in conceiving, developing and taking new products and services to market. Since joining the EBU in September 2018, Antonio has launched several initiatives designed to leverage the collective expertise and momentum of the EBU Membership for technology innovation. These initiatives aim to deliver key building blocks for the digital transformation of public service media, and to strengthen collaboration between public service media, European policy initiatives, start-ups and academic institutions.
