Anna Mallett, Vice President, Production, EMEA, UK, Netflix, is leaving the streamer, amid a round of exits at Netflix.
Mallett joined Netflix five years ago. Previously, she was CEO of ITN, which produces news programming for ITV, Channel 4, and 5. Before this, she was Group COO and MD Production at BBC Studios.
At Netflix, Mallett worked across TV series and films in the UK and EMEA, including such hits as Baby Reindeer, Adolescence, and the Spanish hit Money Heist.
In September, Mallett delivered a keynote address at IBC.
Netflix is reportedly parting ways with around 2-3% of its London-based team, with staff in the PR and marketing function also affected.
News of the UK departures emerged after Netflix revealed it was cutting 1,000 roles, around 6% of its global staff base. It came after Netflix reported slower growth and viewer engagement.
Netflix’s product, tech, legal, and HR teams have been impacted by the cuts. Senior figures including Content Chief Bela Bajaria and film Head Dan Lin have also left the company.
Last month, the streamer appointed former Fox Searchlight Head and senior Disney Executive Peter Rice as its new Chief Content Officer to replace Bajaria.
The Ankler first reported news of Mallet’s departure.
In an exclusive interview at IBC2026, Anna Mallett, VP Production, EMEA, recently explained how the streamer is expanding its media production suite (MPS) to third‑party tools. Discover more here.
