RTS Mini MBA expands access with flexible learning options

The Royal Television Society is expanding access to its Mini MBA in TV & Streaming Media, with standalone modules set to launch soon alongside the full programme and individual stream options already available.

Originally launched as a comprehensive 25-module programme, the course now gives professionals more options to focus their development on specific areas and build their learning over time.

The programme is organised into four curated streams covering different areas of the industry and its wider business ecosystem. Learners can already choose to study a single stream or take up the full Mini MBA course.

The Royal Television Society is now preparing to launch individual modules for the first time at the end of October 2026, beginning with modules from Stream One. These will initially be available at an introductory price of £150 +VAT per module.

The new options give professionals greater flexibility to select learning relevant to their role, experience, or development needs, while reducing the upfront financial commitment and making the course more accessible to organisations working with different training budgets.

Once the module-by-module option is live, there will be three learning options available. The first is the complete RTS Mini MBA, which continue to be available for learners wanting the most comprehensive learning experience, providing a rare 360-degree view of the TV and streaming business and a deeper understanding of how the different parts of the industry connect. Next is Study by stream, which will allow professionals to focus on one or more of the four themed learning streams, following a structured pathway through the related topics most relevant to their role or interests. Finally, Study by individual module will offer maximum flexibility, allowing learners to select the specific topics most relevant to their development needs and career goals, and study them in any order.

Sophie Jones, CEO, Royal Television Society, said: “We recognise that people working across television and streaming have different learning needs depending on their role, experience and career stage. Introducing streams and individual modules alongside the full Mini MBA provides learners with more choice over where they start and how they build their learning over time, whilst retaining the unparalleled breadth and depth of industry perspective that sits at the heart of the Mini MBA, whichever route participants choose”.
