Sky has secured planning permission for its new Livingston Campus in Scotland.
The approval will enable the delivery of a new campus that will bring together Sky’s existing operations in a modern workplace for around 3,000 employees.
The project will replace four existing buildings at Kirkton Campus and leased space on the Alba Campus, creating a site spanning 15 acres and more than 21,000m².
Sky has had a Livingston base for more than three decades, with the site playing a critical role in the company’s UK operations and serving as one of Sky’s most important UK employment centres.
Building firm Graham has been appointed as Principal Contractor for the Livingston Campus.
Sophia Ahmad, CEO of UK Consumer at Sky, said: “Securing planning approval for our Livingston Campus is a significant milestone and a vote of confidence in Scotland. The new campus will create a fantastic workplace for our teams while delivering lasting economic benefits for the local community and wider region."
Gregor Poynton, MP for Livingston, stated: “Sky's decision to invest in a new Livingston campus is a major vote of confidence in our highly skilled workforce, our local economy and West Lothian's future as a place to do business.”
Sky recently confirmed the expanded Scottish office in Livingston, having submitted a full planning application. Discover more here.
