ISE 2025: Camilla Powell on the maturity of IP and dearth of skilled technicians

Camilla Powell, Head of Product at Disguise, believes the biggest convergence between broadcast and proAV is in the uptake of IP. While broadcast has its roots in SDI, many of the barriers to IP adoption no longer exist. LED screens have also become more prevalent at ISE this year, replacing a large proportion of projection-based displays. Powell also stresses the importance of training new talent, pointing to the shortage of skills in new technologies such as IP workflows and AI.
