Profuz Digital launches new media management and subtitle tools

New versions of Profuz Digital’s Lapis digital media management platform and SubtitleNext are being launched at IBC2026, introducing new AI, archiving and workflow capabilities.

The latest version of Lapis adds AI-assisted search across all data types, lifecycle-aware archiving and enriched multi-source analysis combining speech recognition, face detection and content fingerprinting.

Other new features include S3 Glacier integration, file duplication checking, live subtitle stream generation, ElevenLabs API integration, automatic content fingerprinting, image extraction from high-resolution video, multilingual rich-text fields and marker customisation. 

SubtitleNext has been updated with IMSCR import and export support for integration with localisation and production workflows, HiDPI display support and a new Movie File Burn Expert Plugin for subtitle burn-in, with video conversion across multiple formats and resolutions.
