Ronald den Hollander has been appointed as CEO, Host Broadcast Services (HBS), effective 1 October 2026.
den Hollander will step up from his current position as HBS Director, Broadcast Sites, Operations, Services, and reportedly assume overall responsibility for the strategic direction, operational delivery, innovation, and continued growth of HBS and its affiliated production businesses.
The appointment follows the previously announced decision for Dan Miodownik, CEO, HBS, and Luc-Antoine Charial, Chief Operating Officer (COO), HBS, to leave their respective roles following the delivery of key 2026 projects, including the host broadcast of the FIFA World Cup 2026, the US Open, and the inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championship. Miodownik and Charial will continue in their current roles until 30 September 2026.
den Hollander has been with HBS for more than 20 years and has served on the HBS executive management team for almost a decade. Since 2024, he has been HBS Director, Broadcast Sites, Operations, Services. He has played a leading role in delivering five editions of the FIFA World Cup, several editions of UEFA Euro, and various Asian Games. Since joining HBS in 2005, he has held senior roles spanning construction, venue management, and broadcast infrastructure, including the design, delivery, and operation of complex international broadcast centres and facilities.
Philippe Blatter, President, CEO, Infront, said: “Following an extensive succession process, we are delighted to appoint Ronald den Hollander to lead HBS into its next phase of development. HBS stands as one of the most capable host broadcast organisations in the world, built on a remarkable legacy of excellence, innovation and operational execution. With more than two decades of experience at the intersection of sport, broadcasting and event operations, Ronald is widely recognised for his expertise in delivering large-scale host broadcasting solutions for global sporting events. We are confident that his experience, leadership and vision will ensure HBS continues to set the benchmark for host broadcasting and production services globally.”
den Hollander added: “I am honoured to lead HBS at this important moment for our industry and look forward to working with our partners and our exceptional team to shape the future of sports production and host broadcasting. Together, we will build on HBS’s strong foundations, continue delivering first-class services for our clients and drive innovation across all platforms. I would also like to thank Dan Miodownik and Luc-Antoine Charial for their leadership and for leaving behind an outstanding business, a remarkable team and a strong platform for future success.”
Miodownik commented: “I am pleased to see Ronald den Hollander announced as my successor as CEO of HBS. Having served as CEO since 2018, I am very proud of what we have built together as a global team, and of the high standards and positive culture of our staff that make HBS what it is today. I am equally excited to follow the company’s next chapter and to welcome Ronald to the role. He is well known within our organization and has significant experience in our industry, together with the energy and perspective required to lead HBS into the future.”
