The CallMe-T IP audio codec now has SmartStream multi-destination audio streaming providing a new way to connect IP audio.

SmartStream offers in a single low-cost hardware codec the possibility to connect to two or more separate destinations simultaneously, with the ability to select which audio channel streams to which destination. This means that CallMe-T can operate as a multi-streaming stereo codec for resilience, as two separate independent mono codecs or as a multi-destination conference device.

CallMe-T codecs support Opus and G.722 audio coding algorithms with balanced stereo audio inputs and outputs, Ethernet connectivity plus USB audio for the direct connection of low-cost USB mixers and headsets. It comes in small desktop enclosure, but four can be mounted side-by-side in a 1U rack. Although CallMe-T was originally designed as back-end hardware for CallMe Click-&-Connect, it now includes quick-dial pushbuttons for connection without having to use the web interface.

SmartStream is particularly useful for live events where more than one destination needs a different feed. Call setup is straightforward with a new GUI that maps the connection to one of eight pre-stored locations, which can be accessed from the user interface or the front panel.
