Together with sister company VuWall, Guntermann & Drunck will introduce VisionVS at IBC, a compact, dual-encoding hybrid appliance that combines high-performance KVM control with advanced video wall visualisation. Designed to meet the increasing demands of modern control rooms, VisionVS aims to simplify system integration, reduce system components, and enhance operational efficiency.
Integrating G&D’s KVM and KVM-over-IP technologies with VuWall’s IP-based video wall ecosystem, VisionVS bridges two traditionally separate systems. The unit captures KVM sources and simultaneously transmits two independent streams: one using G&D’s bluedec format to feed the KVM matrix systems, and another using VuWall’s proprietary encoding to PAKTM video wall processors, operator workstations, or for remote access.
This dual-stream architecture allows operators to manage real-time content distribution “with near-zero latency”, while reducing hardware footprint, cabling, and installation complexity. VisionVS supports both fibre and copper connections and features a DisplayPort 1.1 input with a loop-through HDMI 1.4 output. Each interface supports up to 2560×1600 at 60Hz or 4096×2160 at 30Hz. The appliance delivers two encrypted streams – one high-bandwidth pixel-perfect stream and the other optimised for low bandwidth, multiviewing and remote monitoring.
