A multiservice AV sync tool on show from Bridge Technologies offers sample-level accurate synchronisation assessment within the VB440 production probe.
It enables engineers to compare the audio, video and ancillary data of multiple independent delivery paths of the same service – for example, across satellite, SRT, and IP in one interface rather than switching between separate views.
Unlike packet-based alignment strategies (which are also part of the VB440’s functionality), the sync component works by embedding machine-readable markers directly into audio, video and ancillary signals, measuring alignment at a sub-frame content level rather than relying on packet timestamps.
Engineers can place parallel delivery paths onto a shared timeline, visually stacking them against a chosen reference. Timing offsets become immediately visible, allowing adjustments so that switching between sources occurs seamlessly, without disruption.
Tim Langridge, Head of Marketing, Bridge Technologies, said:
"This is the only product on the market that lets you manage multiple services in one place – one holistic view, without having to switch between different screens."
