Satellite operator SES and global high-tech solutions firm Profen have allied to “revolutionise connectivity” in Turkey and MENA. Leveraging SES’s O3b mPOWER system, this collaboration aims to deliver high-performance networks, catering to identified market opportunities exceeding 10Gbps.
As part of the agreement, Profen will deploy SES’s medium earth orbit (MEO) system, O3b mPOWER, and establish a gateway in Turkey. By integrating the O3b mPOWER gateway into its networks, Profen says it empowers customers in sectors like telecommunications, energy and humanitarian aid to establish secure, low-latency networks, minimising data hops between endpoints by delivering seamless service.
Services like mobile backhaul, disaster recovery and private 5G will be provided, benefitting companies in Turkey, MENA and Africa regions by providing reliable connectivity.
