Flexible: Ethernet ports for IP-based protocols are available

The new 9942-RTR series of 12G/3G/HD/SD-SDI/ASI/MADI routers provide a high-density card-based solution for openGear with a design specifically optimised for 12G support that fits in a compact 2RU frame.

In addition to standard openGear DashBoard support, the series offers built-in Ethernet ports for IP-based protocols such as Cobalt’s ReFLEX and SW-P-08. The 9942-RTR also offers serial and GPIO interfaces. The routers are available in 24x24 and 12x12.

Chris Shaw, EVP of sales and marketing, Cobalt Digital, said: “Cobalt has always welcomed Spring by introducing advanced, practical and affordable solutions at NAB, and although the industry – and the world - has to adjust to seismic changes this year due to suspension of trade shows and travel arrangements to minimise the spread of Covid-19, we still want to support the industry and assure our customers that service and support are not affected or uninterrupted.”

As well as talking to the IBC Daily, the company is using a series of webinars to communicate product news and announcements with customers and its dealer network.
