Broadcast technology integrator Jigsaw24 has been acquired by private equity firm Strive Capital.
Strive, the owner of IT solutions specialist Academia Group, said that the acquisition would bring together two established UK technology businesses with complementary expertise across Apple, Microsoft, Adobe, managed services, cyber security, cloud, and professional services.
Between them, the two companies will have combined annual revenues of £400m.
Strive said the acquisition strengthens the group’s scale, capabilities, and market presence across education, public sector, and commercial markets, creating a platform for further growth.
The private equity firm added that Academia and Jigsaw24 will initially continue operating as separate legal entities, maintaining their existing teams, customer relationships, and strategic technology partnerships as opportunities for closer collaboration are developed.
Andrew Harman, Owner, Strive Capital, commented: “Bringing Jigsaw24 alongside Academia represents a major milestone in our growth strategy, creating a business with genuine scale, breadth, and technical expertise.”
David Dudman, CEO, Jigsaw24, added: “This is an exciting new chapter for Jigsaw24 and a significant opportunity for our people, customers, and partners. Joining a group of this scale allows us to build on our specialist expertise and strong customer relationships while expanding the services and solutions we can offer. We look forward to playing an important role in the group’s next phase of growth.”
Mark McCormack, Group Managing Director, Academia Group, said: “Jigsaw24 is a business we’ve known and respected for many years, with talented people, strong customer relationships, and capabilities that complement our own extremely well.”
