Garden Studios opens four new sound stages

London-based Garden Studios has doubled its sound stage footprint with the opening of four new sound stages, bringing the total to eight.

Garden Studios bills itself as the largest studio campus in central London with 98,000ft2 of stages, 90,000ft2 of warehouse, 40,000ft2 of production offices, and two large unit base lots over 30,000ft2 each.

Its new sound stages are Rose (15,207ft2), Orchid 1 (15,026ft2), Orchid 2 (12,863ft2), and Orchid 3 (7,187ft2), and are pitched at HETV projects and/or independent features. Rose also features two galleries well suited for entertainment shows.

Garden Studios has been home to a wide range of productions since it opened in early 2021. It was the home of limited set builds for large productions such as Argylle and Wonka, and has hosted the entire production team and sets for Amazon’s My Lady Jane, We Live in Time from Canal+, and ITV’s relaunch of Big Brother.

Garden Studios also has a standing, permanent LED wall for virtual production. The wall has recently increased to 20m wide to 5m tall. Garden Studios has now worked on 120 virtual productions across commercials, promos, music videos, HETV and film.

Bee Devine, Garden Studios’ Chief Operating Officer, said: “Garden’s growth in the last six months alone has attracted new clients seeking versality, flexibility and high degrees of client service. Not to mention, our commitment to sustainability for ourselves and all clients, as well as the permanent VP stage that helps to simplify complex location shoots, reduce risk, and offers production innovation.”
