Facebook’s Daniel Danker explained that Watch is a new destination for users of the social media platform to consume content.

Content is made by a variety of creators and publishers who are hoping to build a loyal audience for their shows streamed on Facebook.

“People discover shows through their community, through their friends and through people who share their interests but also by the Facebook community at large,” Danker said.

He continued: “We are really excited about Watch and hope to create a platform where creators and publishers can thrive, can find a loyal audience and make money using ads and sponsorships.”
