Yes, the pay-TV subsidiary of Israeli telco Bezeq, has selected video software provider Synamedia Iris to deliver advanced advertising capabilities. This deployment will enable Yes to expand its services with addressable advertising, according to Synamedia.
Synamedia Iris will unify ad insertion across Yes TV and streaming devices, spanning a mix of set-top box platforms and OTT applications on smart TVs. Underpinned by Iris’s server-side ad insertion (SSAI) technology, the deployment aims to ensure optimised and secure ad delivery wherever audiences are watching.
The addressable advertising service will also be integrated with Yes’s streaming platform technology to deliver editorial strategies and personalised viewing experiences. Synamedia Go, a modular SaaS OTT video platform for streaming service management, will support this process. The video platform also incorporates Synamedia technologies and services, including FluidEdge CDN, security, and disaster recovery.
Itzik Elyakim, Vice President (VP) of Engineering at Yes, said: “As we continue to evolve our services to meet changing viewer preferences and market dynamics, advanced advertising capabilities are essential to our strategy. Synamedia Iris provides the technology we need to deliver premium ad experiences that maintain the high quality of experience our subscribers expect.”
Guy Southam, Senior Product Director at Synamedia Iris, added: “As consumer habits evolve, ad-supported business models are increasingly important for telco operators like Yes. I am pleased to work with Yes to provide its customers and advertising partners with unified, personalised, relevant advertising, seamlessly integrated into their existing technology ecosystem.”
