Broadcast tech and media services provider Planetcast announced that it has been chosen by beIN Asia Pacific as its strategic technology partner to enhance the management and delivery of programming for 14 HD sports channels serving Southeast Asia and Australia.
Planetcast is providing its NexC suite of cloud-first products and services to support beIN’s business growth across Asia Pacific.
Planetcast Media Services’ support for the management and delivery of beIN’s live sports content is built around two key NexC modules: Cloud.X Turbo, the sports playout solution optimised for multiplatform distribution at ultra-low latency; and Recaster, the managed IP delivery solution that uses public internet to deliver broadcast quality video streams globally.
Planetcast will also provide a range of other services including media management, onboarding, and disaster recovery.
Sanjay Duda, CEO of Planetcast, said: “Our partnership with beIN Asia Pacific represents a strategic step forward in Planetcast’s mission to enable global media brands to grow and innovate. By leveraging Cloud.X Turbo, Recaster and other services and solutions available through our NexC platform, beIN will gain a competitive edge, delivering exceptional content experiences while navigating the challenges of an ever-evolving broadcast landscape.”
Sabil Salim, Vice President, Media Technology & Operations, beIN Asia Pacific, added: “beIN SPORTS is a leader in live sports media innovation, and this partnership with Planetcast reinforces our commitment to delivering exceptional viewing experiences.
