Video streaming software provider Bitmovin has expanded its live encoding and observability offers to deliver what it describes as end-to-end real-time observability for live streaming workflows from live encoding through to playback.
By unifying data from both live encoding and playback, video service providers can now reportedly detect, diagnose, and resolve issues across the entire live streaming pipeline from source encoding through to viewer devices.
Bitmovin added that its existing data solution, Observability, delivers real-time insights into video playback. With its deep session-level insights and advanced error debugging, the platform has been designed specifically for real-time monitoring, making it ideal for live streaming of high-value events such as sports.
Alex Zambelli, Director of Product Management Encoding at Bitmovin, said: “For true observability in live streaming, providers need granular, real-time data across the entire infrastructure, especially live encoding. By expanding our live encoding and observability solutions, Bitmovin now provides unified visibility across the full live streaming workflow. This closes a major gap in the industry and gives our customers the ability to diagnose and resolve issues faster than ever before.”
