Monwall Server is an extension to Mediaproxy’s multiviewer, allowing it to produce streaming outputs, including in a variety of low-latency formats, along with the ability to generate mosaics for multi-screen display.
As well as traditional multiviewing operations, the server allows for software-based and hybrid working, which reduces the need for additional virtual servers or machines.
The new cloud licence for Mediaproxy’s products creates an ad-hoc service that enables deployment of LogServer and Monwall as required. According to Mediaproxy, this creates a scalable pay-per-use model aimed at either non-linear channels or occasional usage, such as for major sports events, with the ability to add to or reduce the number of monitoring points as required.
Erik Otto, CEO of Mediaproxy, said: “The new features for LogServer and the very significant addition of Monwall Server to our offering are not only a major move forward for Mediaproxy as a company but part of the ongoing development of our ‘Master Control Room at home’ concept. The aim is not to replace MCRs or broadcast centres but give flexibility so that engineering managers or operators can work on their laptops with ultra-low-latency mosaics, creating fully virtualised production workflows.”
