TAG boosts broadcast reliability and efficiency

New from TAG is user management functionality RBAC (Role Based Access Control), which creates roles and assigns areas of responsibility to operators.

It promises to increase efficiency and control for large operations with separate systems, strengthen security, reduce human error and bring additional confidence by limiting access to tasks and functionalities based on that person’s role.

Engineers benefit from a customised quality control station with QC Elements

There’s also a preview of Heatmap, an interactive visual tool. Accessed directly from TAG’s Media Control System interface, it provides an overview of the entire network’s status by consolidating thousands of sources onto one screen. A tile-based display uses colour coding to highlight potential issues, allowing quick assessment of the system’s health. Heatmap zooms in on the root of the problem, allowing operators to navigate through a structured hierarchy and pinpoint the source of the issue.

The company’s QC Elements allows information – including details on codecs, frame rates, resolutions, closed captions, audio channels and transport streams – to be arranged on a tile for a comprehensive view of critical technical data. Engineers benefit from a customised, built-in quality control station within the multiviewer display that expedites identification and analysis of technical issues.
