Vizrt: The free version of Viz Artist 4.2 creates fully compatible scenes

The company also unveiled the Viz Artist in Residence programme, initiating the search for the world’s greatest Viz Artist designer.

Viz Artist 4.2 works together with Viz Engine to deliver photorealistic and data-driven real-time graphics to the entire live broadcast ecosystem. All scenes created with the free version of Viz Artist 4.2 are fully compatible with the commercial versions that are offered with Viz Engine.

Viz Artist integrates with other Vizrt graphics solutions, available through the recently announced Flexible Access plans, that reduce complexity so customers can focus on creativity and storytelling.

In conjunction with the availability of the free edition of Viz Artist is the inaugural Viz Artist in Residence programme, which the company says is the world’s biggest search for the brightest software-defined visual storytelling creative talent.

“Working with the passionate people who are at the forefront of live production graphics innovation, the winner of the Viz Artist In Residence programme will be provided with unparalleled opportunities and the support required to take their talents, skills and career to new heights,” said Steve Wind-Mozley, chief marketing officer of the Vizrt Group. “Our winner will be the creative who impresses our panel of expert judges the most, with their understanding of scene architecture, creative flair, storytelling craft, use of data integration and workflow experience.”

Entrants will be chosen from CVs and portfolio samples by a panel of industry experts from the world’s leading broadcasters. Finalists will then be asked to create a data-driven virtual set scene showcasing the power of Viz Artist. The winner will be offered a 12-month Viz Artist residency, a cash prize, mentoring, coaching and support, and more. Four runners up will receive $15,000 Vizrt Flexible Access credits and more.

The closing date for entries is 12 May 2021.
