TalkTalk TV was one of the first telcos to go live with a ‘Content as a Service’ model enabling it to benefit from multi-screen streaming TV technology as well as a fully managed service that includes operations and content management. The launch made TalkTalk the first in Europe to offer TikTok on the big screen as part of an operator’s TV service. Now, Netgem – the developer behind the project – has come to IBC to showcase it.

According to the company, the TV and streaming service for TalkTalk Group demonstrates the power of the Content as a Service model which allows operators to benefit from a reliable TV service which not only removes complexity in operations and controls costs, but also stays ahead of the competition.

TalkTalk opted for the Netgem TV managed service in the UK

Zeop TV, a French fibre operator, is also now entirely operated by Netgem, providing a complete solution covering technology, but also all content services, and running the TV operations as part of a fully managed service.

Netgem TV has now reached 100+ extra channels to Freeview and 40+ apps, all delivered OTT on TV box and mobile at home and on the go. It will soon be launching its own game avenue with more than 40 games.
