For example, the company’s Media Play Platform allows for the aggregation of videos, music, news, cloud and online gaming content for viewers/customers. It’s essentially a search engine where customers can watch any platform, stay updated and get reminded of their preferences in an environment where AI- or ML-based searches are possible. It helps to give customers personalised content that is monetizable and can increase ARPU for content providers.

Tech Mahindra also has solutions in the fields of post-production content compliance and QC automation; a Video Unlimited (VU) platform that helps in processing content by providing work-order driven workflow automation; and a digital content track and trace platform that provides end-to-end traceability, revenue management, smart contract and micro payment use cases using blockchain.

Tech Mahindra’s global head of innovation, Nikhil Malhotra, told IBC Daily: “We believe that content is the new king and we also believe that content has a force multiplier effect for both the new-age telco or media companies. Our efforts and research are typically to drive the ecosystem so that there is telco-media convergence for monetization for companies, while having an eye on regulatory norms and compliances.”

Tech Mahindra is exhibiting at IBC2019 on Stand 15.MS24 and 15.MS25.
